Fraud Prevention

Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust takes many security precautions to protect your account information and keep it safe from unauthorized use. Unfortunately, identity theft is a growing problem and can take weeks or months to discover. Identity theft occurs when someone steals your personal information to establish credit or borrow money in your name. Fortunately, there are measures you can take to help protect yourself.

Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust would like to remind you that we will never, under any circumstances, ask you to verify any personal or account information over the internet or via e-mail. We have recently become aware of several new e-mail scams, particularly in the financial services industry, where websites appear to be legitimate bank websites that may expose you to malicious computer code or lead to a compromise of your personal information.

We are a relationship-based bank and we take pride in our personal approach with clients. With that in mind, always err on the side of caution if you are ever asked to reveal or confirm personal information via online or if asked to click through to a website that you believe might not be associated with Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust.
